I got an interesting request today from The Education Commission of the States. They wanted to know how schools in New Jersey define "Computer Science".
The K12 Computer Science Framework defines computer science as "The study of computers and algorithmic processes, including their principles, their hardware and software designs, their implementation, and their impact on society. [ACM, 2006]'" This is separated from the CS vision statement.
